"Most of our checked and flannel shirts from G. Inglese are buttoned collars, which is understandable for a more casual fabric. We wanted to also push back on that understanding a little here, think about those who prefer spread collars to buttoned, but also think about a bold check that could play nicely with a brown knit or grenadine tie in a tasteful but less expected way. The result is this handsome shirt with the lovely hand of high quality cotton flannel shirting - and that can be dressed up with a sport coat and solid knitted tie, or dressed down with a cardigan and a pair of chinos or jeans."---Greg

About this Maker

G. Inglese

This family atelier in Puglia makes shirts fit for a king

Ginosa is a small village in Puglia, known to some for its Gravina, an amazing archeological formation of ravines, caves and churches carved into the rock.    It is also home to G. Inglese, a small haberdashery and shirt maker known of sartorial aficionados for years, and catapulted into the headlines when Angelo Inglese was selected by Prince William to make his wedding shirt.

Angelo Inglese's desire to perpetuate traditions transmitted from his grandfather often pushes him to dig out archives and replicate patterns and skills now gone from the world of shirtmaking.   We have seen a lot of high end shirts, and had never seen a handmade shirt to the level of G. Inglese's.
